Or to put it another way "Billions now living will die" a horrible terrifying death if they don't obey the GB
Doesn't sound so appealing now does it?

the wt claims it was because of the clergy.
what i want to know is why would the government imprison them over a religious dispute surely there would need to be something they did that broke us laws some evidence to bring charges of sedition and treason.
.
Thanks Yknot I'll check those sources. They like to claim that they are the victims and cry persecution but I suspect for the most part they brought it on themselves
bro.
jaracz died this morning, wednesday, june 9, 2010 at about 7:30 am.
he was 84 years old.
I disagree with the statement "that you should not speak ill of the dead" If a person was an asshole when they were alive what has changed now that they are dead? Except of course they can't be an asshole any more. I did not know Jaracz personally. but going by the comments so far I would like to offer my conclusion and offer a positive tribute in deference to those that will not speak ill of the dead. I would like to say that it seems to me that Jaracz was very very good at being an asshole

i consider myself an intelligent woman...maybe not strong on the 'common sense' front, but academically i've done pretty well...so...how on earth did i not see through it all when i was studying in the beginning???.
i remember worrying about their 'sales pitching' styles and their arrogance of believing they had the 'truth' ...but still i got involved and became totally immersed in it all.
i feel like i sacrificied our whole family to them, who now shun me.. yesterday, my new son in law, he's a lawyer, asked me how i could have believed it wasnt a cult (topical word this week here) he said he didnt understand how i could have been persuaded to believe it all and trust them with so much and for so many years...... i feel ashamed of myself that i did and that i brought all this upon our family...anyone else relate?.
Maybe I lacked street smarts
video interviews give us the opportunity to discern the sincerity of the speaker.
watch their eyes & facial expressions.
with a couple of the speakers i got this distinct impression that they didn't really believe what they were saying was true.. one scene that really doesn't ring true.
Did you notice the expression on his face and the little laugh after he said this. As if to say and you still are US
please explain this one.....
There is no link Same as their claim to have restored 1st century Christian beliefs The good news they preach is not the same.

"don't have children.

One scene that really doesn't ring true. Is after being told by one GB member that Rutherford was brusque in manner and didn't fear to tread on anyones toes. We then see a reenactment of him stoically standing by and not defending himself while he is being harassed by his opposers
Overall though I think it is a fairly well done piece of propaganda
